There is a web site www.gogratitude.com that is about gratitude and how it can transform people and any situation.

Also, the Ishaya meditation techniques use Praise, Gratitude, Love and Compassion to help people bring their minds into coherence. In coherence, we are better able to come in touch with intuition, creativity, peace, harmony, synchronicity, the Quantum Field, Spirit, God ....

It is one very basic common factor in all religions.

Another thing to be aware about is the Law of Attraction. You attract what you think about, so if you are thinking of gratitude, the Universe gives you more of what you are grateful for. This creates an ever ascending spiral of gratitude and joy! So ... what are you going to focus on?

Peace and Blessings

You make a very good point! And, you are so right!! (In my opinion ;o)
It is rather hysterical when you think about the amount of people out there who want to change the world, make it a better place and a cleaner place while their very own little life, (little only in comparison to the whole world), suffers from these very things.
We are all individuals who enjoy different things. Maybe the world is just fine the way it is!!? It's funny, as I am writing, I wonder why I have never entertained that idea before!? Wow, when you think about it, that makes a lot of sense. The world is fine. It is us who need to work on ourselves. When we learn to stop concerning ourselves with what everyone else is doing and stop trying to make them do everything the way WE think it should be done, we will feel less resistance. Instead of focusing on the negatives in our day, complaining about traffic and line-ups and begin to enjoy the clouds, the music, the opportunity for social interaction that can come from getting stuck in traffic, we will feel as though the world really isn't doing that poorly after all. The World doesn't need to be changed, the world is happy! It spins, it creates, it grows, it shrinks, it moves around.... it does it easily and effortlessly without worrying about what each and ever one of US is doing, thus we should start doing the same before we give Mr. Earth a complex!!

Hi Jens, thanks for commenting.

I do hope to get every exercise in the 8-12 range eventually, but it's not a priority right now. Honestly, the main reason for that is because a 40-pound dumbbell set is all I have to work with, and I'm not in much of a position to spend money on expensive equipment or gym passes. So, on some of the exercises, I have to use the full 40 pounds and just keep going until I burn out.

As far as diet goes, I get most of my protein from chicken. According to the Colorado Experiment or Tim's blog (I'm not sure which), a balanced diet is more important than anything, and that's mostly what I'm aiming for.

Good luck on your attempt as well!

Hi Scott,

Great to see another Geek2Freek'er :p

I started my Day 1 yesterday, but my diet and exercise is based more on Ferriss' blog than directly on the Colorado experiment.

Anyway, according to Ferriss you shouldn't do more than about 8-12 reps to exhaustion. Did you specifically decide to go higher than that? I'm also curious to know more about your diet plan - as a fishitarian I am struggling to get all the proteins.

Best of luck!
